I know that many of you post your resume in the job banks, in which if you don’t, start doing it now. One of the most popular job bank services is Monster.com in the USA and Monster.ca in Canada. For the other countries out there Monster is probably there, for example France (Monster.fr).

Creating a resume online is actually easier that it seems. You simply need a hosting company which you can get for about $5 per month or even less and to create a web page with your resume info. For me for example mine is at antonioquesnel.com, which is my name and thus is easier for an employer to remember. If you need help I can help you create one for a low fee (the time it takes me). I don’t want to post my email here due to spam spiders that grasp your email address and spam my email account.

Once that is complete a good tip is to create business cards. It does not have to be fancy, just add your name, address, phone number AND your website address where your resume is at. The reason I say to create business cards is for 2 reasons.

Reason 1: Put one with all the resumes you send in person since their is a good change that even tough the potential employer may discard your resume because no positions are available at the time, he may keep your business card for future reference in case an opening occurs in the near future, and the employer will know that you have computers skills if you were able to create a resume page.

Reason 2: You never know when you will talk to someone that may be talking to you that he or she is looking for someone, for example a family reunion where a family memeber has a friend that is looking for an employee. By having a business card you can break the ice and offer one by letting them know your website address where your resume is located online is on the business card. It is much easier to carry business cards than resumes.

TIP: The web site address (ex: yourresume.com) should only include your resume, nothing else. No links to your facebook account, your personal web pages, blogs (like mine) since it may make the employer discriminate you even before they have a chance to see you, resulting your chance of getting that potential position.

Also by making your resume available online it also lets potential employers that you never applied to look at your resume by mistake by misspelling the address that they were actually trying to go to.

Remember, your resume is your marketing tool. If you don’t use it to its full potential you will get minimal results.

First of all, if you plan in being the next Hulk Hogan then I would recommend that you go to gym, but for the rest of you on simply wanting to get more muscle mass or to simply stay in shape, resistance bands may be the anwser for you!

A few months ago (about 7-8 months) my brother bought one of these rubber bands at wal mart which was a coomplete waste of money, unless your a woman that simply want to be, or become toned. But for us guys it is a definite waste of cash.

Then my brother bough a black, 100 lbs resistance bands, and let me tell you, you can feel the burn in your muscles. He got is at Fitness Depot (in Canada). For the rest of you you can get them at www.lifelineusa.com, where is the place I ordered extra cables.

The first main pro is that it is much harder to get injured compared to free weights. The second advantage is that is someone else other than you has to move them because they are in the way they can do so since it is only 2 lbs.

Another significant advantage is that not only does it work when you lift it up (curling), but also when you bring it back down; which with free weight the climax is getting it up, not getting it down, which does less of a workout.

Their is still much debate on the resistance bands since it is only really been out there to the general public for about 4-5 years, and I have only heard of it a few months ago.

So in conclusion if you simply want to stay in shape you can definitely do so. Please make sure that if you do get it that you get the handles that can hold 3 cables (up to 300 lbs of resistance, wow!).

In my point of view I can understand why the government would make it illegal to drive with all season tires in Quebec. Just look at the storm whe got last year.

But what I am concerned about is the families on a budget, that barely make it as it is, and now have to buy 4 winter tires. 4 new, 14 inch winter tires are about $400! They should have a program for the poor families to help them out.

I would not be suprised that eventually Ontario will pass this Bill as well, they did pass the law that bans using cellphones while driving just after Quebec made it law last year (don’t get me wrong, I understand and respect that law since it is to keep you focused on the road which you should be doing in the first place).

On another negative turn regarding the economy, City Financial may lay off up to 52 000 employees to keep afloat in these struggling economic times.

Retail stores also are felling the hit, especially during the holidays, which is usually their biggest sales in the year, are finding this the worst year in decades.

On the positive side of the slowing economy, gasoline prices have dropped dramatically in the last weeks from $1.30 a litre (in Canada) to under $0.80 per litre.

As of today the United States have lost 250 000 jobs, while in Canada only 9 500 jobs were created which shows that Canada’s economy is slowing down as well.

Only time will fix the economy, and the new President Obama will have much work to do.

For that last 8 years, Bush has only madethings from bad to worst and now, Obama will be stuck with the mess he caused. I personallygive Obama credit and wish him the best, since he will have a hsrd 4 years to rebuild the economy the way it was before.

I guess that time will tell if it works out. My question is why did Bush wait so long? Many Americans and other citizens from other countries had to an extend of course, a feeling that something wrong was going on about 2 years ago when a few homeowners went bankrupt and thus got worst by the day. You would think with all the ’suits’ in the white house they would of done something to stop it in is early tracks.

As for myself as a Canadian I don’t hate the Americans, they are hard working people like everyone else, but I do dislike their President Bush. It is this man that creates more problems than anything else. Instead of sending Americans soldiers in Afghanistan and getting soldiers injured, or even worse, dead; help your American people first since the economy is bad at this time and many of them have lost their homes and/or their jobs.

I personally can’t wait to see the next President next year and Bush out. He will sure have a lot of work to do, but hopefully for the best.

Well from my experience I would say, don’t quit your day job. I have being blogging on this site for a while and let me tell you the most you will make is to pay your web host. Many sites trying to tell you that you can make hundreds or even thousands of dollars per month are probably trying to do only one thing; to get you to buy one of their so called products on making money blogging online.

I’m not saying that it is completely impossible to make a few hundreds of dollars per month blogging, but it takes a while to build a quality content blog site where people will want to visit your site, and even then they will expect you to update your content on a daily basis, on a minimu weekly basis.

How people make money blogging you ask, well they signup for a google adsense or yahoo (fogot the name) account. Once they are approved they add adds in their bloggin site and thus make money. But like I said you must dilver quality content to your readers, otherwise they will see no point of visiting your bloggin site.

In Conclusion, if you like writing about your thoughs and personal opinion as I did for example, in this article about making money with blooging, by all means start your blogging site and write, otherwise I would leave it be.

Also if you plan on opening a blog site you should get yourself a domain name like I have (www.searchp.com) so users can remeber your address easier.
